Throughout May, Edvance places nuclear safety at the heart of its activities. Through a series of dedicated initiatives, the company is mobilising its teams around a key objective: strengthening a demanding, shared and vibrant nuclear safety culture that is embedded in everyday working practices.

A collective commitment to nuclear safety culture

Throughout the month, Edvance employees take part in a nuclear safety leadership workshop delivered in two stages. The aim is to make nuclear safety challenges tangible, accessible and fully integrated into professional practices.

Stage 1: NUCLEDO, an innovative awareness-raising tool

NUCLEDO, an immersive in-house game, provides an interactive way of exploring nuclear safety issues.

By examining several major accidents from the nuclear industry, such as Fukushima, Chernobyl and Davis-Besse, as well as incidents from other sectors including aviation, participants analyse chains of events, identify weak signals and challenge decision-making processes.

This approach highlights the crucial role of human and organisational factors in risk management and control.

Stage 2: Assessing yourself to improve

The workshop also includes a self-assessment exercise. This enables each participant to identify their contribution to nuclear safety and pinpoint areas for improvement, in keeping with a continuous learning approach.

Nuclear safety at the heart of Edvance’s commitment

Beyond this dedicated initiative, the programme reflects Edvance’s commitment to fostering a rigorous and collective nuclear safety culture.

This is a vital factor in ensuring the reliability of projects and fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to the company within the nuclear industry.
