Edvance continues to demonstrate its commitment to the Quality of Working Life and Working Conditions (QWLWC) of its employees by signing the Corporate Parenthood Charter and the Charter of 15 Commitments for Work-Life Balance, initiatives led by the Observatory for Quality of Working Life (OQVT).
This initiative is consistent with the agreements signed in 2024 between Edvance Management and Employee Representative Bodies regarding Quality of Working Life and Professional Equality, ensuring that employees benefit from a balanced and stimulating working environment.
At the end of 2024, Edvance continued this momentum by signing two charters promoted by the Observatory for Quality of Working Life.
Corporate Parenthood Charter
This charter aims to promote a working environment and management culture that enable employees to balance their professional and personal lives while benefiting from a high quality of working life.
Edvance commits to:
- Changing perceptions of parenthood: raising awareness among all stakeholders of the stereotypes and challenges associated with parenthood, and ensuring that all teams are informed about this commitment.
- Creating a supportive environment for working parents: helping employees balance their professional and family responsibilities, particularly in situations of vulnerability, and adapting work organisation to enable those concerned to fulfil their family commitments.
- Guaranteeing non-discrimination: encouraging inclusive management practices and promoting ways of working that ensure fair and equal treatment across teams.
The 15 Commitments for Work-Life Balance
Complementing the Corporate Parenthood Charter, these commitments aim to promote a management culture that respects the personal lives of all employees.
Signed by all members of Edvance’s Executive Committee, they are structured around four key themes:
- Leadership by example
- Respect for work-life balance
- Optimising meetings
- Appropriate use of emails
Edvance is committed to implementing initiatives throughout the year to further support the balance between professional, personal and family life.
These commitments complement measures already in place, including enhanced leave entitlements for family-related events, full pay during maternity leave regardless of length of service, and extended maternity and paternity leave provisions.
